Many of you will have seen in the local press that it appears everything is sorted and that the alternative proposal for admissions to Oxted in 2009 has already been agreed.

Although the support is encouraging, and we are hopefully getting closer to this point - the Surrey CC Admissions team and the Learning and Schools Select Committee have also now given their support to the proposal - it is STILL NOT OVER YET!

There are 2 more stages to the process:

• The Executive Committee will discuss the alternative proposal recommended to them by the Select Committee and make their recommendation to the Full Council at their next meeting on Tuesday 26th February at 2.30pm in Kingston.
• The Full Council meeting will consider the Executive's recommendation and make the final decision on Tuesday 4th March at 10.30am in Kingston.

It must be stressed that right up until the 26th it is still possible for changes to be made to the alternative proposal - so nothing can be guaranteed at this stage!

Unfortunately, due to the meeting only being a day after we return from half term, there is not time to take your bookings and organise a coach this time.
