The Horley Learning Partnership This is a pilot study scheme for 'local' schools around Horley - the 'community'. Guess what - Lingfield and Dormansland are not part of it!! An advertisement for the Headteacher at Horley in Jan 2007 carried this line You will also be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the Horley Learning Partnership to enhance the educational experience for all pupils in our locality. Would our children feel like outsiders?
Training and Development Agency for Schools: Case Study of the Horley Learning Partnership This shows that the HLP is very local. Talks about holiday, breakfast and after school clubs. Surrey CC is actively promoting these and using the HLP as good practice and wants to set up other confederations in the rest of the county. All very well but what about the travelling to and from - particularly the holiday clubs - bet the buses won't run then!!
